MICHAEL A. GOLDBERG, PH.D. is a licensed psychologist. He is Past-President and Former Director of Professional Affairs for the Mass Psych Assn (MPA) and served on the Board of APA\'s Society of Clinical Psych. He is the recipient of APA Society of Clinical Psychology\'s Early Career Award, APA\'s Heiser Award for Advocacy & MPA\'s Saul Psychological Services Award. He has been an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, Boston University and St. Louis University.Dr. Goldberg received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St Louis University. He completed his pre-doctoral fellowship in child clinical psychology at Boston Children\'s Hospital/Harvard Medical School and his post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Publications and presentations are available on his CV. Dr. Goldberg was the Founder and CEO of Child & Family Psychological Services, Inc. He pioneered the integration of private behavioral health services into primary and specialty care practices while building the largest and highest quality outpatient behavioral health company in Massachusetts. He has a unique understanding of the overall healthcare system and how to build bridges enabling more effective and efficient healthcare that consumers and providers experience more positively.In 2017 CFPS was acquired by LifeStance Health and Dr. Goldberg became the founding Northeast Division President for Lifestance Health. Between 2017 and 2020 Dr. Goldberg was responsible for the acquisition of 10 practices, opening more than 12 new locations, and executing two strategic partnerships with healthcare systems. Dr. Goldberg also assisted with strategy and acquisitions throughout the country.In 2020 Lifestance recapitalized with TPG. In 2021 Lifestance went public on NASDAQ.Dr. Goldberg provides consultation to healthcare services companies regarding operations, clinical services, human resources, compensation strategies, exit strategies, strategic partnerships, health plan contracting, mergers and acquisitions, etc. He also advises companies applying psychological science to solve problems and uses his psychological skills to assist companies with complex human resource challenges.
