ABOUT MICHAEL GOLD

As a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, I’ve spent my career advancing the field of skin care through clinical excellence, research, education, and innovation. In 1990, I founded Gold Skin Care Center in Nashville, Tennessee, which has since grown into a multi-faceted facility that includes Advanced Aesthetics Medical Spa, The Laser & Rejuvenation Center, and the Tennessee Clinical Research Center. Our mission is to provide comprehensive dermatologic care - from medical and surgical dermatology to advanced cosmetic procedures and aesthetic services - all grounded in patient-centered outcomes and the latest technology.In addition to my clinical work, I’ve remained deeply involved in research and education. Through the Tennessee Clinical Research Center, I’ve helped bring numerous dermatologic products and devices to market, playing a pivotal role in their development and FDA approval. I regularly share our findings at global dermatology and aesthetic medicine conferences and remain actively involved in advancing evidence-based practices that shape the future of the industry.I’m also proud to serve as Co-Founder and Co-Chair of Music City SCALE (Symposium for Cosmetic Advances & Laser Education)- a premier medical and aesthetic dermatology symposium now entering its 21st year. SCALE has become a cornerstone of education and collaboration in the dermatologic field, offering live demonstrations, hands-on training, scientific insights, and unmatched networking opportunities. What began as a local gathering has grown into a globally recognized meeting that brings together top experts, researchers, and innovators each year in Nashville.Beyond clinical care and education, I hold faculty positions at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and Meharry Medical College, and I’ve served as a Visiting Professor at several international institutions, including Fudan University in Shanghai and China Medical University in Shenyang. These academic roles reflect my continued commitment to mentoring the next generation of providers while fostering international collaboration.At the heart of everything I do - whether it’s treating patients, conducting research, or organizing one of the industry’s leading educational meetings - is a passion for delivering meaningful results and elevating the standard of care.
