When a person works in the same industry – with the same subject every day since 1993, they will likely learn a thing or two and get the opportunity to work with some great people. So, this is the story of my career. I am a co-founder and Director of Consulting Services for APR Consultants, Inc.(APR), a company that has specializes in airfield pavement roughness evaluation and repair since 1993. Having served for 30 years in the field of pavement evaluation, I am recognized as a subject matter expert by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the American Concrete Paving Association (ACPA) for the knowledge and experience I have gained in this field.In that time, I have conducted hundreds of runway and taxiway surveys and evaluations for airports around the world, using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to identify and eliminate roughness events that affect aircraft performance and safety. When it comes to pavement profile measurement, I have quite a bit of experience using external reference profiling devices such as APR’s Auto Rod and Level – ER, inclinometers, and high-speed inertial reference profilers. My experience has allowed me design and implemented profile repairs for numerous airfield pavements, achieving significant improvements in ride quality and compliance.I am passionate about advancing the field of airfield pavement engineering and sharing my experiences and expertise with others. I regularly participate in conferences, workshops, and training sessions as a speaker, instructor, or facilitator.
