Assistant Vice President of Operations - Us South
Feb 2024 — Present · Shreveport, LA, US
The US Southern Region, operated by more than 1,200 employees, spans approximately 2,500 miles of track across 10 different states in the Southern United States. Due to the geographical significance of this section of track within our CPKC network, we interchange with every Class 1 railroad, as well as nearly 30 different short line partners throughout the territory. This vast region is anchored by three major processing yards located in Kansas City, Missouri; Shreveport, Louisiana; and Jackson, Mississippi. Additionally, we service three major port cities: New Orleans, Louisiana; Gulfport, Mississippi; and Port Arthur, Texas. As the US South serves as the critical gateway for traffic to and from Mexico, we have witnessed tremendous growth and new opportunities since the merger, further solidifying this region’s importance within the CPKC franchise. New interchange partnerships with the CSX in Mrtylewood Alabama have created truck competitive services to get our customers good to a multitude of destinations in the US South and Mexico.
