ABOUT MICHAEL FEDOROFF

I have been working as an Applied anthropologist in the Environmental industry for over two decades. My focus has primarily been the sustainment and resiliency of cultural and natural resources including ecosystem restoration, water resources, and natural infrastructure. I have a deep understanding of Federal land managing agency structures, environmental compliance (NEPA, NHPA Section 106), infrastructure and economic development, and ecosystem revitalization programs of import to underserved communities. I currently serve several national level positions to support building interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams to deliver the best applied science and relationships to a wide variety of environmental projects. My corporate philosophy is that people are the greatest strength of any team, thus talent acquisition is something that I have encouraged in the organizations I have helped build and lead. In addition to having the right talent in place, my portfolio illustrates that it is not just about doing the project right but doing the RIGHT project. My demonstrated work experience illustrates a keen business acumen with attention to detail. This coupled with my strong work ethic, communication abilities, organizational skills, and being a bit of dreamer, have helped me create a strong return on investment for my clients. My personal research interests specifically revolve around building community-based projects related to natural resource management and the environmental restoration from cross cultural perspectives. This makes for some interesting projects that often become the catalyst for the early adoption of innovation in applied science to operations in both communities and industry. My teams not only have high revenue generating work histories in the research arena; we also seek to solve complex real-world problems that help people and society.
