As the Assistant Federal Security Director (AFSD), responsible for providing operational and administrative executive level leadership/direction to a workforce comprised of 1100 front line security officers, 26 Transportation Security Managers (TSM)s, 4 Deputy Assistant Federal Security Directors in a 24/7 environment, as one of top busiest airport in the nation. Directly responsible for applying guidance and policies, maintaining a command security posture, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders at one of the nations busiest airports (daily volume of 60-80K, includes the busiest security checkpoint nationwide and the 4th busiest security checkpoint), oversight to TSA’s canine program, explosive technicians, training department and coordination center. Will routinely assess internal and external programs, handling incident and emergency response as a federal executive command official applying risk-based decision making, handling a variety of human resource matters to include hiring a diverse workforce and budgetary items.
