Michael “Blackmike” Duque is a respected community leader, program director, and nonprofit founder from East Austin, Texas, dedicated to empowering at-risk youth and supporting returning citizens. He has built a reputation for transforming lives through mentorship, opportunity, and second chances.Michael is the Founder, Director, and CEO of Hoop Shop Girls Basketball, a nonprofit organization that uses competitive basketball as a pathway to academic success and personal development. Through his leadership, more than 100 young women have earned college scholarships, opening doors they may not have otherwise had access to.He also works with Urban Alchemy, an organization focused on public space transformation and providing meaningful employment and support to formerly incarcerated individuals.
