About Michael Deweert
I have a broad scientific background, having conducted paid research in topics from superconductivity to LIDAR remote sensing to medical imaging and ocean modeling and simulation. In 2016, I was named a Senior Member of SPIE-The Optical Engineering Society. SPIE has published the conference proceedings from the 2014 Defense & Security Symposium, with my papers on Lensless Coded Aperture Imaging and the 3DLASEM Ocean-LIDAR simulator. We are doing ground-breaking work here in Hawaii! I am also committed to sustainability, and actively promote long-term energy solutions for Hawaii through my work with the Environmental Caucus of the Democratic Party of Hawaii.
