About Michael Desena

Michael is a Senior Civil Engineer for the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission. Michael is an adjunct professor of Civil Engineering at FDU. Michael is a proven manager with an extensive track record in program development and management, operations, and quality control management of heavy/highway construction and critical facilities projects. He is the project manager for PVSC’s primary resiliency B203 Project – Construction of Perimeter Floodwall, Storm water pumping stations and storm water collection system Project.He has over 30 years of experience and is accomplished in delivering small and large scale engineering projects to completion. He is also experienced in the development of preliminary and final designs of roadways as well as preparation of contract documents for both small and large scale transportation projects for various agencies including the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, Bergen County Department of Public Works; County of Rockland, Highway and Drainage Departments; Borough of Waldwick; Borough of Midland Park; Borough of Glen Rock; Township of Wyckoff; Borough of Ramsey; Metro-North Railroad; Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission: New York State Thruway Authority: CPV Valley Energy Center; and New Jersey Transit. He is also experienced in many other aspects of site, civil, and municipal engineering including parking and access design, storm-water management design, utility design. Additional experience with the coordination of these efforts for both public and private utility companies has given him the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate utility information with clients and the public.
