As a Port Operations Manager at Total Terminals International, I provide a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the seamless and efficient flow of operations at the largest and most productive terminal at the Port of Long Beach. My current position oversees members of the International Longshoremen and Warehouse Union (ILWU), and ensures the safe loading and timely discharge of containers for the largest maritime shipping line in the world, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).Total Terminals International (TTI), owned by Terminals Investment Limited (TiL) Group, operates one of the largest container terminals in North America at Pier T in the Port of Long Beach. The terminal spans approximately 154 hectares (about 380 acres) and features a quay length of 1,524 meters. It is equipped with 16 ship-to-shore cranes and 28 yard cranes. TTI boasts an advanced on-dock rail facility with 12 working tracks and 4 storage tracks, totaling nearly feet in length. This setup allows the terminal to build trains up to feet long, facilitating efficient cargo movement across the United States.
