ABOUT MICHAEL DE LUCA

As the Director of Portfolios and Operations Vancouver at Worley, I am the account manager for numerous customers, responsible for managing a $25M revenue portfolio, executing corporate strategy, and delivering digital solutions to key customers. With nearly 30 years of experience in various industries, including mining, oil and gas, environmental, and engineering services, I have developed a diverse skillset, acute business acumen, and a strong EQ that enable me to collaborate across multiple disciplines and lead teams to achieve project quality and customer satisfaction. I have successfully tripled Vancouver business in one year, increased project gross margin from 35% to 55%, and implemented alternative commercial models to improve customer relations and trust. Always bringing my authentic self to every situation, I have a passion for learning and growth, and I constantly adapt to changing markets and challenges. I hold an MBA from Smith School of Business at Queen\'s University, a Master of Science in Earth Sciences from University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from University of Waterloo. I have worked across Canada, the US, South America, and China, gaining international and cross-cultural work experiences and perspectives. I live in the grey zone, bringing colour when things are too black and white and shades of grey when there is too much colour. I see things from a different perspective, reframing visions and operationalizing strategies to achieve corporate objectives. I am a mental health advocate and a relationship builder, driven by values of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
