About Michael D. Farren

My research investigates the consequences of governmentally-granted privilege (cronyism) and the unintended consequences of public policy focusing on labor, transportation, economic development, and energy. My current research agenda includes the rise of the informal economy (also called the \'sharing\' or \'peer-to-peer\' economy), the effects of the minimum wage mandate, targeted economic development, and transportation funding.
