   In my role as a Hazard Mitigation Program Specialist, I help communities build resilience and recover stronger after disasters. I work closely with local, state, and federal partners to guide mitigation projects from concept to completion ensuring they meet all program requirements and deliver real, long-term benefits.Day to day, I manage the full lifecycle of hazard mitigation projects: developing and submitting applications, drafting project agreements, tracking budgets, and monitoring progress to keep everything on schedule and in compliance. I also analyze and organize financial grant data, support stakeholders through the reimbursement and reporting process, and oversee final inspections and project closeouts.Beyond the technical side, I serve as a key point of contact between agencies, helping streamline communication and problem-solving across multiple levels of government. My goal is to make the mitigation process as efficient and transparent as possible turning funding opportunities into tangible projects that protect people, property, and infrastructure from future disasters.
