ABOUT MICHAEL CUNNINGHAM
I’m a PhD candidate in the Damha Group at McGill University, where I explore the chemistry of CRISPR-Cas systems. Continuing on from my B.A.(Mod) in Medicinal Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin, my research focuses on the chemical engineering of CRISPR-Cas12a for the development of enhanced CRISPR therapeutics, sitting at the intersection of chemistry and biotechnology. Outside of the lab, I’m an Investment Associate for the Quebec team at Front Row Ventures, Canada\'s leading university-focused and student-operated venture capital firm. I work on sourcing and evaluating early-stage student-led startups across a broad range of industries, helping to grow and support Canada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
