Work includes managing the Village\'s human resource system, programs, policies, labor relations, contract administration and benefits administration; program evaluation; budgeting; and general policy administration. Specifically, responsibilities include personnel recruitment and selection, wage and benefit administration, labor relations and management, contract negotiation and administration, employee orientation and coordination of training, disciplinary and workplace investigation, policy development, communicating goals, objectives and programs to Village departments and the general public. Acts as liaison to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. Acts as Village Manager in the Manager\'s absence.
