   Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to CIG. Mike has extensive experience with IPOs, tax minimization strategies, executive compensation, accounting for income taxes, as well as tax structuring for M&A. Since joining CIG, Mike focuses on bringing high value tax incentives to clients in the life sciences, biotech, tech, pharma and manufacturing industries.Prior to CIG, Mike served as a Tax Managing Director with Ernst & Young from 1982 until his retirement in January of 2017. While at EY, he led the San Diego Office’s Life Sciences Tax practice. Since 2001, Mike has been involved with over 50 IPOs and numerous other M&A transactions. He, at one time, was the Tax Account Leader for over 70 life science clients. Mike is a California and Arizona Certified Public Accountant, holding a B.S. in Accounting from the Eller College of Management at The University of Arizona. He is also a member of the AICPA and the Arizona Society of CPAs.
