About Michael Conners

I am a Managing Director in the Structured Products Group of Golub Capital. In this role, I lead the firm\'s efforts in fund and specialty finance (including subscription, hybrid, and NAV facilities), corporate and GP revolvers, derivative financing, and hedging, I am also a point person in the negotiation, execution, and management of the firm\'s middle market bank facilities and CLOs and asset backed securitizations as well as a range of broadly syndicated loan financing products. I am also responsible for leading a team that invests in NAV loans, rated feeder funds, CLO and ABS liabilities and equity, and bank SRT/CRT for Golub\'s opportunistic credit funds. Prior to joining Golub, I was an attorney in the Global Finance practice group at Dechert LLP. While at Dechert, I was involved in a range of matters and representations, including private equity and credit fund formation matters, CLO and CMBS securitizations, various types of loan originations, and a variety of representations of 501(c)(3) organizations and low-income individuals on a number of pro bono matters. I also represented a venture capital client with regards to direct lending to a startup company, advising that client on corporate, financing, and international taxation matters. Prior to becoming an attorney, I was a commodities and fixed income trader at Bridgewater Associates, LP, the world\'s largest hedge fund. While at Bridgewater, I focused on a variety of asset classes, including credit default swaps, credit default index swaps, base metals, and foreign exchange instruments. In addition to my trading activities, I was also involved in counterparty relations management, dealing directly with principals at nearly all the trading desks of the world\'s largest banks. I was also involved in the trade analytics and evaluation process. I earned my Doctor of Law degree from the University of Chicago Law School, where I was the recipient of the Earl B. Dickerson merit scholarship. I earned by Bachelor\'s degree from Duke University, where I graduated summa cum laude, with Distinction, and Phi Beta Kappa, and in the top.001% of my graduating class.
