ABOUT MICHAEL CHENEY
I’ve been there… worked hard for a company (believing the old adage, ‘work hard, learn as much as you can, and you’ll move up’) and got passed up for that promotion. That’s what led me to start looking for a new role after 17 years. I had someone share a recruiter job posting with me and thought I’d do well. I took a chance, not knowing anything about the industry, and it’s been quite the ride. Starting in 2022, when the banking world was strong and navigating the challenges that came afterward, it’s been fascinating learning more about our banking system and how money moves.
