About Michael Chavez
As a leader, you probably are seeing and feeling first-hand how our traditional pillars of organizational stability — strategy, business models, and capabilities — are being continually challenged. I am honored to serve as Global Managing Director at Duke Corporate Education as we strive to prepare leaders for what’s next within this environment. As our challenges become more global, social and complex, leadership is becoming more and more critical to business success. I am passionate about helping leaders around the world navigate these dynamics.My research and writing focuses on “re-humanizing” leadership. By engaging people around a purpose, shared meaning and empathy, I believe leaders can create the foundation for greater sustainability in a world that is more complex and unpredictable than ever. My research currently focuses on how leaders can most effectively shape, institutionalize and lead from a shared organizational purpose. I teach, facilitate and advise in the areas of leadership and culture, organizational networks, team collaboration, strategy and execution and have led projects all over the world and in a variety of industries, including technology, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, retail, financial services and media.These are among the topics that I share and discuss here on LinkedIn.
