Chambers serves as arbitrator in cases throughout the United States on the International, Class Action, Large Complex Case and Commercial panels of the American Arbitration Association Those cases have involved Fortune 500 cases and involved claims in excess of $175M. He was previously selected to serve as Co-Chair of two national panels of arbitrators deciding issues in the class action settlements involving New York Life and Transamerica Insurance Companies. He recently was selected and issued a published opinion as the sole arbitrator deciding class action status in a case involving Time Warner.At the request of the he has helped create several courses to train all individuals applying in the United States to serve as arbitrators and screen them before approval to specific panels. Over several decades, he has taught over 20 courses to attorneys, academics, and retired judges seeking appointment to Panels. From an audience that is arguably hard to impress, he has consistently been given the highest rating of “Excellent” in surveys of participants. He was previously certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in the United States as a Civil Trial Specialist and for a time served as Examiner, reviewing and grading the exams to determine which attorneys would receive this certification.
