I am a cofounder, CEO, and CSO at Haus Bioceuticals Inc, a specialty pharmaceutical company that uses an evidenced-based approach to develop principally, natural product-based drugs and dietary supplements. At Haus I work on R&D, IP, regulatory, brand development, and strategic partnerships. I initiated and managed the launch of our dermatologic brand \"MetaDerm\" aka “Bodewell” utilizing an integrated social media marketing strategy, resulting in channel dominance on the world\'s largest online retailer. We leveraged the success of this work to create a global network of commercial partners to manage next-stage commercialization.In 2002, I founded Crescendo Bioscience, aka Vectra, which ranked the 7th fastest growing private US company and #1 fastest growing healthcare company by Inc magazine in 2014. Crescendo was acquired by Myriad Genetics in 2014, and subsequently by Labcorps in 2021, expanding Crescendo\'s commercializaiton opportunities. A watershed moment for Crescendo occurred in 2006 when Bill Hagstrom, who created the specialty diagnostics business model, joined the team as a consultant to position us for VC funding. With top-tier VC support secured and Bill taking the helm as CEO, Crescendo recruited an all-star roster of molecular and specialty diagnostics pioneers. Our work culminated in the development of the 1st molecular diagnostic in rheumatology, denoted Vectra DA, a multivariate blood test that quantifies disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis patients. Vectra is a disruptive technology that provides information to the physician in the biological domain. Physicians use the test to better tailor therapies to a given patient, improving clinical outcomes and decreasing cost of care. I was also an academic researcher for 26 years, where I participating in the 1st positional cloning of a rheumatologic disease gene and development of the first commercial genetic diagnostic test of an inherited form of chronic arthritis. I have over 100 publications and several patents in the areas of immunology, drug mechanisms, biomarker-based blood test development, and drug development.

Haus’s highly integrated R&D team is comprised of multidisciplinary experts in the fields of naturopathic and allopathic medicine, immunology, and inflammatory biology, and early-stage brand development and commercialization. Haus utilizes state of the art laboratories for lead compound identification, mechanism of action studies, and preclinical assessments. In addition, Haus has an active clinical trial program to identify indications and to quantify efficacy and safety profiles relative to current standards of care. Clinically active bioceuticals are put through the same rigorous development process as pharmaceutical medicines, bridging the worlds of pharmacologic and naturopathic medicine. This is a unique approach, a third path, where the full potential and mechanisms of action of these natural safe and effective anti-inflammatory treatments is being understood and harnessed in an evidenced-based manner for the first time.Technologies appropriate for the OTC space are developed into proto-brands by crowdsourcing consumer’s requirements on the largest online commercial channel (Amazon.com) and social media advertising, which is further supported by bioceutical-specific regulatory strategies. Ultimately, technologies and proto-brands are licensed to leading channel partners in the consumer products and professional spaces. In addition to “in-haus” programs, Haus establishes co-development partnerships with other companies.Haus has completed preclinical and clinical development of our first technology and proto-brand, “MetaDerm”, a proprietary combination herbal-based treatment for chronic inflammatory skin diseases including eczema and psoriasis with unmatched efficacy and safety
