ABOUT MICHAEL CALDECOTT
I am a partner in the Competition/Antitrust and Foreign Investment group in McCarthy Tetrault\'s Toronto office, and advises clients on all aspects of Canadian competition and foreign investment law. I specialize in helping clients to navigate complex domestic and international merger control matters through governmental antitrust review, and in advising clients on agency investigations arising from unilateral and coordinated conduct. I also counsel clients on economic, national security and cultural reviews under Canada\'s foreign direct investment regime, the Investment Canada Act.Prior to my move to Canada, I practised competition law in the London office of a major international law firm, advising clients on a broad range of competition law issues under EU and UK legislation.
