Independent consultant involved in disputes resolution and technical advisor opportunities associated with water/wastewater, dam, hydropower, transportation, high energy laboratory, and underground space infrastructure projects. Mike has extensive and diversified global experience in planning, design, and construction management of infrastructure projects in North America, Central and South America, Asia, and the Middle East. Through his career he has been a “big picture” specialist in the optimization of projects and structures. His experience includes alternative analysis; geotechnical investigations, geologic and ground characterization, design development, development of risk and contracting strategies; constructability and value engineering reviews, bid evaluations, quality and risk management, contract administration, construction oversight, claims analysis and mitigation, and dispute resolution. With his varied experience in planning, design and construction he has extensive experience as a technical advisor, peer reviewer, and claims manager. He has been involved in over 60 tunnel and underground projects, totaling more than 150 miles in length and up to 33-ft diameter, more than 100 shafts, and several large rock caverns. He also has involved in over 40 dam, hydropower, pumped-storage and dam rehabilitation projects.
