ABOUT MICHAEL BREZ
I began my career in the security field more than a decade ago at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, where I developed a strong foundation and a lasting commitment to the profession. In 2015, I joined the Las Vegas Sands Venetian—one of the most prestigious properties in the world—as a Security Officer and later advanced to Armed Officer.During my tenure, I was formally recognized by both my department and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for my role in the detention of four of five armed jewelry robbery suspects on the Las Vegas Strip. I was subsequently promoted to the property’s Counter Surveillance Team, where I expanded my work in intelligence, threat identification, and interagency collaboration.In this role, I worked closely with LVMPD and multiple federal and regional partners, including the Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center, FBI, CIA, and U.S. Marshals Service, supporting efforts to track, monitor, and detain persons of interest on property. I also served as a Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Instructor and a Fusion Center Liaison, strengthening information-sharing and operational readiness.In 2019, I was promoted to Assistant Security Manager, and in 2021 I accepted a Security Manager role at Resorts World Las Vegas—the first new Strip casino in over a decade. In my current role, I focus on operational leadership, effective communication between senior leadership and frontline teams, and building strong cross-departmental partnerships to support a safe, efficient, and professional security operation.
