ABOUT MICHAEL BRAUN

As CFO of AIESEC in Germany, I led a transformation process of the entire finance, accounting & controlling area for the whole assassination from mainly paper-based and outdated flows to a digitalized ones with adaption to nowadays accounting/controlling standards and new ways for proper financial/administrative management. Part of this immerse project was the creation, adaption, and implementation of new accounting, controlling and administrative software and frameworks to ensure a fast, proper and fully digitalized management of documents within the assassination. This project was one of the most challenging activities I led so far, as it brought the entire organization to a completely new level of financial and administrative management. The entire project was guided by a lot of uncertainty thou out the process as a lot of new information and workflows had to be learned and implemented for all staff of AIESEC in Germany. Even thou I experienced major setbacks and failures throughout the implementation of the project it was a huge success at the end for the entire association that gave AIESEC in Germany the opportunity for a huge jump in achieving not only its financial but also operations goals. Next to these projects I was Data Protection Officer during the entry into force period of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), making sure all our procedures conform to these regulations. At the moment I am finishing my studies in the area of Management focusing on Financial & Supply Chain Management to leverage my strengths. My major strengths lie in cleaning messy frameworks and restructuring processes bringing clarity into fields with a lot of uncertainty. Creating lean, fast and structured processes with the usage of nowadays software and tools is a major key to success for any business. I am searching for the possibility to develop myself further in the areas of financial & supply chain management using my strengths in the area of digitalization, process & change management.
