ABOUT MICHAEL BOOTH

I am a fully qualified ARB registered architect with extensive experience of building design and construction processes from initial concept design and brief development, contract administration and programme management, to site completion and handover / defects liability stages.Currently employed as a Partner within PTE, with a technical focus, detailing, and compliance auditing, along with project running, team building and running of live projects to handover, involving daily interaction with contractors and regulatory bodies.I have worked on and have held direct responsibility for project performance, extensively in the residential, mixed use and commercial markets, but also large scale building works which includes Grade A listed buildings, schools, and redevelopment projects, both as a team leader or individually as work requirements demand. Additionally, as a Site / Project / Senior / Associate Architect, my previous roles have consistently required my reporting to and liaising direct with clients / project managers / directors, and have consistently led design teams, works coordination, and design development, including technical and detail production / work packages from project inception to completion.I have held positions as a client side Contracts Manager and Area Architect for a large social housing association, designing residential projects from initial feasibility and associated land purchase, through design development within budget constraints, to planning. Leading design coordination works across the many disciplines involved throughout a project, including M&E, Engineering, and specialist sub contractor design work incorporation, with H&S compliance considerations, all forms part of my career development.Previous qualifications held include Site Management and Safety Certification, Planning Supervision, and a qualified Energy Performance Certifier (residential).Regarding computer literacy, I am highly proficient in all Office Applications including Power Point, use Microstation and AutoCAD (fully trained in both), and utilise Sketch Up / Photoshop as a normal task within the working environment.
