About Michael Bond

Michael currently serves as a professional learning facilitator. He holds a Masters of Education from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Montana State University-Billings, as well as state licensure in Elementary Education, Principal/Director, Special Education, and French. Michael served as Executive Director of Human Resources, Director of Title I programs and Preschools, as well as Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Natrona County School District in Casper, Wyoming. Michael served as elementary principal for 13 years and led schools to improved levels of student achievement. He has also served as a coordinator for special education programs. Since 1983, Michael has served on numerous school and district accreditation teams as lead evaluator. He has led school and district accreditation and strategic improvement efforts, and serves as a member of the Wyoming State Council for Advanc-ED(Cognia). His career in education began as a special education teacher at the elementary and high school levels in Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico. While serving in key district and building level leadership roles, Michael led curriculum and instruction reforms to meet the needs of diverse learners. This led to significant improvement in student achievement and increased principal and teacher capacity. Michael implemented school and district continuous improvement structures using systemic and systematic processes for improving student learning by setting clear direction and engaging stakeholders. In addition, he led the implementation of Strengths-Based professional development for leaders, staff, and students in using each team members gifts and talents to maximize success.

   Provide professional learning to PreK-12 educators in the Department of Defense Education system on the implementation of the College and Career Ready Standards for Learning (Common Core) for Language Arts reading, writing, language, speaking and listening. Provide introductory workshops for Pre-K-12 teachers in public and private schools on a range of topics including: Integration of Technology, Differentiating Instruction, Accommodations and Modifications for Students with Special Needs, Identifying and Understanding the Needs of Special Education Students; Provide leadership coaching to PreK-12 principals in parochial school settings on a range of topics tailored to their professional learning needs and those of their schools.
