ABOUT MICHAEL BERGES

As a dedicated Business Services Director and County Commissioner, I bring over 20 years of diverse experience across financial advisory, strategic management, and public service. My career journey has been anchored in Northwest Kansas, where I’ve built expertise in asset and financial management, revenue analysis, and business growth—both in the private and public sectors.Currently, I’m part of the Business Services team at the Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center, Inc, where I work to empower and strengthen businesses across a 26-county region. My role is rooted in collaboration, leveraging insights from years in financial advising and business operations to support sustainable growth and innovation for local businesses.Previously, I served as a Financial Advisor with firms like Ameriprise and Edward Jones, focusing on asset management, retirement planning, and financial strategy. These experiences, paired with my extensive work in charitable gift planning, major gift development, and public policy, allow me to navigate complex challenges and foster resilient community solutions.In addition to my professional roles, I am deeply involved in public service as a County Commissioner in Ellis County, where I support local legislation, financial oversight, and community welfare initiatives.
