I’ve taught many people and businesses how to use new technology to be more productive. I’ve written best practice documents, articles, wiki pages, and branded content. I’ve taught by example, implementing new systems or improving old ones. And I’ve conducted plenty of face-to-face training, both in a structured setting and as a mentor to less experienced colleagues. I’m well-suited to such work, owing to a background that combines technology, literature, storytelling, and business management. I seek colleagues who can teach me more than I can teach them. I seek projects that require a lot of background research. I seek challenging writing assignments where I can be the first person to clearly and relatably describe something complex and multifaceted.Give me the raw materials (the preliminary PR/FAQ, the engineer’s notes, the source, the still-buggy beta, the half-finished marketing materials), and I will tell the story that truly describes what we’re building, as the world is meant to understand it.
