My role is there to deliver effective management and leadership to the Area Sales Team in order to achieve set performance targets and gain results through my team within a geographical area. I am responsible for retaining and growing a customer base by effectively applying a disciplined approach to customer contact strategy, while strategically planning and delivering customer growth. It is a key management role within the business and requires determination, drive and exceptionally high standards. I have a strong mix of people, system and customer focus that will drive success. Through collaborative planning with the wider Area Management Team, I embrace every opportunity for continuous improvement. Key to my role is the ability to ensure a strong operating and performance culture is driven through each sales person within my team, with the backing of coaching and support. This includes accurate, 100% recording of sales activity through CRM to deliver accurate forecasting and reporting. A strong knowledge of customer activity and personal customer contact is required so that I can understand and influence customer activity within their area.As a General Leader and Manager my ability to make the right commercial decisions for the business is paramount.
