ABOUT MICHAEL BEARD

I am a partner in Dentons Corporate group in Edmonton. I advise clients on a broad range of corporate commercial matters, including corporate governance and transactional matters. I also assist clients with the negotiation and drafting of various commercial agreements, including unanimous shareholder agreements, service agreements and licensing agreements. My practice includes a focus on mergers and acquisitions, including reorganizations, share subscriptions and share and asset purchase transactions (including in the life sciences sector). I act for a number of large clients in the oil and gas and railroad construction industry and over the past few years I have advised and assisted on a number of large and complex international transactions, including the $3 billion sale of the Rexall Health pharmacy and related services businesses and the redomiciliation (\"inversion\") of Civeo Corporation from the US to Canada.My practice also includes a focus on technology and life sciences, and I provide guidance to clients on various technology-related and intellectual property issues and also assist dental and medical professionals with their legal needs, including the purchase and sale of dental and medical
