ABOUT MICHAEL BACKES

A trusted medical device sales consultant focused on improving patient lives and meeting physician clinical and business needs. Most recently with Abiomed-J&J MedTech and Terumo, in the spaces of interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, critical care, interventional radiology, vascular surgery, urology, C-suite. I also achieved high levels of success in aesthetic capital and dental implant/ cosmetic dentistry. Championing breakthroughs in cardiac health, my tenure at Abiomed was marked by a mission to enhance patient outcomes through innovative Impella cardiac left & right ventricular unloading technologies.I love to lead, coach, follow, win. I’m grateful for my time with each team and hold high the relationships I have made over the years. My focus is on the main thing and that is always the patient, the patient care teams, the healthcare systems, my company team, and the value-add device or service I support. My efforts in these spaces contribute to positive impacts on the lives of so many patients and patient’s families. The culture of the teams I have had the opportunity to partner with has been amazing. The Doctors, the nurses, the staff, work so hard. Helping these physicians and care teams at each Hospital, ASC, physician office, with the most innovative devices has always been rewarding. The friendships you make while caring for the people in the communities are second to none.
