Manage thirty staff, implementing and overseeing the delivery of the Cleaning, Landscaping, Waste Disposal & Pest Control output across a Square FT Shopping Centre. Responsibilities Include:• Serve as the Head of the Cleaning Department.• Holder of an annual budget of circa Inclusive of labour, machinery, consumables and contractors relating to the Cleaning/Environmental Department.• Development of a ‘Housekeeping Specification’ to detail the tasks, equipment and products required to achieve a clean and presentable environment.• Implementation of the ‘Housekeeping Specification’ within the ‘Over-C’ platform to enable compliance monitoring and production of key performance indicators.• Occasionally fulfil the role of ‘Centre Duty Manager’ as per a rotating schedule. Serve as the immediate point of escalation for all departments across the site during this time.• Development of Safe System Risk Assessments & COSHH Risk Assessments. • Liaising and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors.• Management of Waste Management, Landscaping, Pest Control & Washroom Hygiene Contracts, inclusive of re-tendering, and reviewing service delivery. • Contribute to ISO: 14001 & Certification; retaining the relevant waste documentation inclusive of waste carrier licences, waste transfer notes and hazardous waste consignment notes. • Liaison with other Head of Departments to assist in a number of areas.• Liaison with Peterborough City Council and neighbouring premises to establish cleaning and waste disposal responsibilities in line with land registry documentation.• Involvement in a number of projects in collaboration with the local council and various local organisations to support with a range of social challenges, inclusive of rough sleepers and anti-social behaviours.• Implementation of a Biodiversity Management Plan to ensure effective management of agriculture in-line with BREEAM In-Use.
