My journey of over 25 years: To get Cyber-Security and Developers working together to get them acknowledgement of “Job Well Done”, and a voice to show they are making a difference.Since the internet exploded in the 1990’s, technology’s effort to collect and protect private information has been an ongoing battle: Are we secure? Have we been compromised? What are the threat(s)? This battle is well discussed in “Future Crimes” by Marc Goodman.Cyber Security is at an inflection point. Mobile devices, Remote work, Cloud enablement, Ransomware, Big Data, AI, XDR. The technologies are getting more sophisticated…….but never answer. How secure are we?What has been missing is a way to demonstrate continuous, measurable improvement in security preparedness that communicates results that everyone concerned can understand.This new journey combines people, process and technology to the cybersecurity challenge of working with development teams to improve security maturity outcomes without unnecessary effort. i.e. Budget, People, Time equal measurable security outcomes continuously in business understandable terms. As Director of Zyston’s West Coast Advisory Service, our team is focused to help our clients meet the needs of their cybersecurity objectives and show a measurable path to improvement and value of their teams to the organization.
