About Michael Allen

I have been working in the photovoltaic industry for over ten years in a variety of different positions. My first solar job was performing residential and commercial PV installations. Being a natural problem-solver, I quickly became proficient at system troubleshooting. My next several positions were working as an O&M technician. I have also done pre-site assessments, permit coordinating, system upgrades, commissioning, and final building inspections with AHJ\'s. I am familiar with most types of residential equipment being installed in the US. I also held a variety of customer service positions over the years which have allowed me to develop strong interpersonal and communication skills. I am now a product manager with Solis on the North American team. When I was hired in April 2020, it was because of my years of hands-on experience working with PV systems, despite having no previous product management experience. Solis has been like a second family to me and I am honored to be a part of it.
