About Michael Alabran
Mike is a motivated and skilled leader with strong interpersonal and organizational skills to accomplish difficult challenges with a unique style. He has proven his abilities throughout his career while serving in a variety of roles, most notably, as a Research Engineer, Engineering Director, and now currently the President for PSN Labs, which is a Professional Firm offering Engineering, R&D and manufacturing, and extensive testing services to a variety of industries. Over the past 20 years, Mike has gained extensive industrial experience in product design, new product development, material characterization, polymer processing and customer networking. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Plastics Engineering from Penn State University and his graduate degree from the University of Massachusetts with a strong concentration in polymer processing and design. PSN\'s primary focus over the past 10 years has been in the medical device development and testing field, but he brings almost 20 years of experience in polymer materials, processing and design to help circumnavigate and optimize the product development cycle. PSN\'s unique offering of engineering services, polymer processing, and an ISO/IEC 17025 testing lab enables expeditious and iterative development for a variety of markets and topics including Liquid Silicone Rubber development, Biocompatibility testing, NSF 51 considerations, chemical compatibility, overmolding/two-shot molding, insert molding, and micro molding to name a few.
