ABOUT MICHAEL A. MCCLURE

For the past 30 years, I have been engaged in executive multiunit retail and retail store management positions for DeBeers, Tiffany & Co, Faberge, REEDS, and Tenenbaum. All luxury jewelry retailers. Throughout my tenure, I have been instrumental in introducing process and system improvements, employee engagement initiatives and customer-focused strategies to drive forward sales and profit growth. I hold a strong track record in the startup and turnaround of retail operations. My ability to attract and develop strong sales and operations talent is one of my key strengths. Other key strengths that I possess include customer experience design, marketing and trend analysis, performance management, loss prevention, merchandising and product mix, expense control, event planning and community outreach. Significant career achievements include:• Turnaround of two locations to achieve sales plan after years of underperforming.• Growth of the Houston Galleria store from $17 million to $30+ million and its reposition to earn Store of the Year Award two consecutive years.• Introduction of process improvements and systems to support high-volume store locations. • Opening and launch of The Woodlands location that received the Shining Star Award.Additionally, I am employed with Houston Community College as an Adjunct Professor within the Business Administration department.
