Community engagement and creative partnerships director at Stopcocks Group Limited; multi-award winning, national organisation working exclusively to raise the profile and numbers of tradeswomen in UK (currently 1%).Register of Tradeswomen CIC launched on 1st March 2021 due to huge demand from householders. Stopcocks Women Plumbers (est. 1990) are the only national company of women plumbers and heating engineers anywhere in the world.We provide a high quality consultancy service to enable trainers and employers to improve their inclusivity and diversity and making the industry more aspirational.Increase engagement of tradeswomen - who are marginalised and isolated due to their very low numbers, by running the only national event for tradeswomen and trainees in the construction and maintenance industries (next event July 4th in London https://stopcocks.uk/conference/)Building sustainable relationships with industry stakeholders, training institutions, media.Fundraising through company activities, grant making trusts and sponsorships.Create and build sustainable relationships with women\'s organisations throughout UK to empower their users through gaining a sense of control in their homes.Stopcocks and RTW connect self-employed skilled tradeswomen with householders and co-ordinate teams of skilled tradeswomen to work on larger projects.Stopcocks run a highly successful Business Incubation Service for our members.We believe making tradeswomen including women plumbers and heating engineers, electricians, joiners, painters and decorators etc visible on mainstream TV is an important part of achieving that. It helps broaden girls and women\'s perception of what they can achieve.Both services provide security for householders through our thorough verification process.
