ABOUT MICHAEL MICALLEF
Mr Micallef has over 25 years experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems(GIS) and Asset Management. He is a graduate of the GIS & Digital Mapping Program from the College of Geographic Sciences where he obtained an award from the Canadian Institute of Geomatics for excellence in mapping.Michael obtained his Project Management Professional(PMP) designation in 2008 and his Certified Supervisor Management (CSM) designation in 2006. Michael has managed several GIS departments in many industries including transportation, fibre optics, gas, international and government organizations. In addition, Michael has lead numerous projects as a private consultant for a variety of clients. Michael has been responsible for GIS and related services for Union Gas, The Region of Halton, The Ministry of Transportation in Ontario, IRD in Afghanistan, Looking Glass Networks (Fibre Optics) in the Midwest of the United States as well as Managed the GIS and IS responsibilities for TMHC, providing knowledge and direction to the team.Michael was previously the lead for the Broadband One Window project Team as the Senior Manager of GIS Solutions and Development for Planview Utility Services Ltd. Mr. Micallef is currently the Senior Geospatial Solutions Advisor for DNV supporting the next generation of innovated tools and solutions supporting clients.
