ABOUT MICAH WILCOX
I believe that thriving communities depend on expansive public transit networks and thoughtful land-use planning. Good planning ensures that transit networks are accessible and useful to communities by connecting them with necessities, amenities, and opportunities. This belief drives my interest in pursuing an urban planning career with a focus on public transportation. I am a master\'s candidate in urban and regional planning at UCLA, and I will graduate in 2026. I was a 20••••24 Executive Fellow in California State University Sacramento\'s Capital Fellows Program, where I served in the California High-Speed Rail Authority\'s Office of Communications. I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Chicago in 2023 with a BA in Environmental/Urban Studies and Sociology and a minor in Quantitative Social Analysis. I hope to find a transit planning internship for summer 2025 where I can contribute to meaningful planning work.
