About Micah Sturgis

Micah Sturgis specializes as a Digital Forensic Consultant and is the President of Sturgis Forensics, LLC. Micah is a Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME) and an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE). Micah continues to receive training and certificates in digital forensics. Micah has attended the National Computer Forensics Institute in Hoover, Alabama and received training as a Mobile Device Examiner, including IVE, Blackthorn, Cellebrite, Lantern, and Magnet Forensics. Prior to opening Sturgis Forensics, Micah was the Director of Digital Forensics at Barefoot Professional Investigations. Micah was employed in the corporate sector with Wells Fargo and Company as a digital forensic investigator,and a digital forensic examiner for Reliance Forensics, LLC, where he was responsible for the examination and analysis of computers and mobile devices. Micah was a Deputy Sheriff for 13 years at the Cleveland County Sheriff\'s Office. Micah was assigned to the Criminal investigations Division and the Crime Scene Investigations Unit as a Digital Forensics Examiner. Micah has developed/written digital forensic courses and taught as a Digital Forensic Instructor at Central Piedmont Community College, through the American Academy of Applied Forensics, where he trained Officers, Investigators, and other examiners to extract data from mobile devices and other electronic devices in a forensically sound manner. Micah continues to educate Attorneys as a Digital Forensic Educational Speaker. Micah assists Attorneys in navigating the digital forensic aspects of their cases by providing litigation support.
