I am an administrative office support professional for the Carver College of Medicine Office of the Executive Dean. For the duration of the fall 2024 semester I worked part-time, and am now continuing full-time since my degree has been conferred. Duties include but are not limited to assisting with hihg-priority activities (ex. LCME accreditation activities, executive recruitments, and University of Iowa Physicians compliance notifications), ensuring proper delivery of items to University of Iowa Health Care personnel, and performing general office tasks (ex. answering phones, greeting visitors, setting up meetings, following cash handling procedures, etc.).

ABOUT MIA BATTANI
I am a proud first-gen graduate of the University of Iowa. My ultimate career goal is to be a physician, educator, and institutional leader.In December of 2024, I earned my Master of Clinical Anatomy degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine (CCOM). Upon graduation, I began working full-time as an administrative support assistant in the Office of the Executive Dean at the Carver College of Medicine. I also held part-time roles as a paid teaching assistant for the Spring 2025 courses ACB:6252/PTRS:6253 Functional Neuroanatomy & MED:8133 Mechanisms of Health and Disease II, and was a Board of Reviewers member for the World Food Prize Foundation youth institutes through August of 2025. In the summer of 2026, I will begin medical school at the my current institution, earning my third degree from the University of Iowa in May of 2030.Outside of my current position, I have worked in many industries and with many types of people. I am attentive, candid, and responsible, and I strive to be as well-rounded as possible.
