About Mia McDonald

I am an accounting and audit supervisor and a continuous student as I further develop my career and technical knowledge. I am passionate about growing my education and working to be the most well-rounded and experienced CPA I can be. I received my Bachelor\'s Degree with a double major in Economics and Business Management May 2022, accompanied by a Concentration in Accounting and a Minor in Mathematics; this provides me with a unique toolbox of analytical and practical skills to apply to any scenario. I followed this by completing my Master of Science in Accounting May 2023. I made so many memories and had invaluable experiences during my time at Westfield, where I was a 3-season student-athlete for all 5 years - 3 of which were spent as a captain. I now spend my evenings working as an assistant coach for my former teammates. I am a master in communication, whether it be visiting clients in my audit role or encouraging my athletes during cross-country and track races. Working in groups is one of my strong suits, and I love applying this to client relationship management and teamwork within my firm. I adapt well to change and am organized and versatile, willing to try new tasks and differentiate myself from others. I am passionate about goal-setting, female empowerment / leadership, and running. My personal outlet is marathon running - I have qualified for the Boston, New York City, Berlin, and Chicago Marathons and am working towards completing my 7 World Marathon Majors. All of my passions intersect within Girls on the Run, where I now am so fortunate to serve on the Western Mass Board of Directors and Finance Committee. Outside of my education I am a fraternal twin sister (she has red hair and glasses, we look nothing alike!), and have two younger sisters. Needless to say, I am always up for a challenge and thrive off of competition, and love being a member of my big Irish family. I have lived in Western Mass my whole life, and I value my community and giving back to it.
