Organized and Operating as a 501c3, Positive Altitudes (positivealtitudes.org) was established to increase the participation of kids from underrepresented communities in the sport of downhill skiing. In our inaugural 2022 season, we partnered with The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, Big Brothers Big Sisters, COA Youth, Family Center, and Sunburst Ski Resort to offer a 4-week learn-to-ski experience. Positive Altitudes has provided 800 ski lessons in 4 years. Our program provides ski rental equipment, winter gear, dinner, and ski lessons free of charge to all participants. We have received in grants and donations to fund the program.
