As a newly graduated Registered Nurse and proud member of the NCAL Nurse Residency Program at Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento, I am absolutely thrilled to begin my professional journey. Every day on the floor deepens my commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and strengthens my resolve to grow as a clinician, teammate, and advocate.While I am honored to care for patients in the acute setting, my long-term goal is to transition into Labor and Delivery. I am passionate about maternal-child health and feel called to support families through one of life’s most transformative experiences. I view this current chapter as a vital foundation for the clinical skill, presence, and resilience needed to thrive in L&D.I also aspire to pursue graduate education to become a nurse educator. During nursing school at California State University, Sacramento (BSN, December 2024, GPA 3.8), I was deeply inspired by professors who modeled excellence, empathy, and mentorship. Their impact motivated me to become a teaching assistant, simulation lab lead, and student mentor. These roles fueled my passion for education and sharpened my skills in leadership, communication, and coaching.From clinical rotations in pediatrics, mental health, and advanced medical-surgical care to my senior preceptorship at UC Davis Medical Center, I have developed confidence and adaptability in high-acuity, fast-paced environments. My volunteer work with Ronald McDonald House Charities and T.R.O.T.R. has expanded my understanding of holistic, family-centered care and the importance of meeting patients’ needs beyond the hospital walls.I hold certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation, ACLS, PALS, BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and S.T.A.B.L.E, which prepare me to respond effectively in critical situations.I am eager to keep growing as a nurse, future educator, and lifelong advocate for equitable, high-quality care. I welcome opportunities to connect, collaborate, and learn alongside others committed to making a difference in healthcare.
