About Mia Bakota

Milstein Scholar at Cornell University (Class of 2029) pursuing a B.A. in Cognitive Science (Cognitive Neuroscience) and Psychology (Behavioral & Evolutionary Neuroscience), with a minor in Biometry & Statistics (GPA: 4.08). I plan to pursue a B.A.–to–Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.I work as an undergraduate research assistant in Cornell’s PRIDE Lab, contributing to adolescent mental health research through quantitative data analysis in R, literature synthesis, and standard research workflows. Through the Milstein Program in Technology and Humanity, I am developing an independent, AI-enabled study integrating clinical psychometrics, computational language analysis, and narrative coding. Alongside research, I maintain active clinical and crisis-intervention roles as a Sexual & Domestic Violence Hotline Advocate and EARS peer counselor, grounding my academic work in trauma-informed, ethically oriented practice. I am particularly interested in autism spectrum disorder, depression, psychological assessment, and am an aspiring clinical neuropsychologist.
