Reporting to the Manulife Wealth & Asset Management Chief Risk Officer, the Global Head of Investment Risk Oversight plays a critical role in owning the independent (or \'second line\') oversight of market, liquidity and counterparty risks across all portfolios manufactured and/or managed within Manulife\'s Wealth & Asset Management business units, and distributed globally across Retail, Retirement and Institutional channels. The role involves leading a team of global risk professionals that monitor and assess investment risks at various levels (enterprise, region, strategy and portfolio), providing effective challenge of risk-taking observed through analyses performed, and providing independent risk reporting and insight to Risk Committees and senior management.
