I love tacos—and the stories they carry about heritage, culture, and connection.A few years ago, I took a career break to immerse myself in the place where tacos originated. That journey led me to reconnect deeply with my roots and inspired me to write Aventura, Amor, y Tacos: The Path to Reconnecting with the Motherland, which won Best Latina Themed Book of 2020 at the International Latino Book Awards. This book is about the transformation that happens when we rediscover where we come from and embrace the power of living authentically.Since then, I’ve grown as a storyteller, leader, and advocate, continuing to champion representation and opportunity in nonprofits, higher education, and workforce development. I’m passionate about empowering the Latinx community and first-gen students and professionals by bridging gaps through meaningful connection and culturally resonant storytelling.With over a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, higher education, and workforce development, I’m a data-driven and goal-oriented professional who keeps people at the heart of every decision.
