I’m delighted to update about my new role as the Regional Director, South Asia. It’s an exciting integration project to better understand and address culturally similar countries. The South Asia Region has impacted over 23 million lives and catalyzed over $1.1 Billion of capital for water and sanitation (WASH). We are humbled and grateful, and motivated to keep scaling our work in the region.Our next focus is to scale financial solutions that support WASH enterprise, utilities, and infrastructure. We need more impact investors, climate funds, bank linkages and development partners to join, ensuring availability of finance for all. Long term WASH solutions need to be owned by the people, blended with government resources. The poor don’t need charity, but rather access to affordable capital and a sustainable ecosystem that supports their needs and desires. Onwards and upwards!
