About Mark Gujer

My medical career started back in 1980 as an EMT. Through the next decade my love of taking care of patients in difficult situations brought me on a journey through Paramedic training, Fire Rescue and finally Flight Medicine. My Medical Director and mentor pulled me aside one day and basically ordered me to go to medical school. I\'m glad I listened. So the last 2 plus decades have focused on medical training, residency, and building a rewarding career practicing our craft. Some how along the way, I got the bug for Physician Leadership and that is where my focus currently lies. Balancing a clinical practice and taking on and learning how Physician administrators can be highly effective in the health care industry. Throughout this I never left my roots behind. I have served as Medical Director of our Local EMS delivery system, striving to stay at the cutting if not bleeding edge of medical technology in pre-hospital medicine. Currently I have switched gears to enjoy the world of Ambulatory Surgery. Sounds Dull? Hardly. This type of medicine brings all kinds of new challenges to the table with limited resources and still delivering high quality care. This career diversity has brought me real fulfillment and I can\'t wait to see what\'s next.
